Why am I unable to view the online broadcast?
The online broadcast streams in MP4 and MP3 formats. To view and listen to the broadcast files, you will need software that is able to play files that are in MP4 and MP3 format. Here are a few software titles that will play those formats: Real Player, Quick Time, and Windows Media Player 11. Also, please make sure your software settings are set to stream these files, not download them. If you are still unable to view the broadcast, here are some troubleshooting tips to help.
Windows Media Player 11 troubleshooting tips:
- The home page for Windows Media Player 11 is: www.windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/windows-media-player.
- If you do not have this version of Windows Media Player, please download it first.
- WMP 11 (windows 7) will play MP4 files without a codec, but you won't be able to add them to the library.
- If you have windows xp or vista, you will need to download a media player codec pack. Here is one site you can use to find the codec: http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack/3000-13632_4-10749065.html?tag=mncol;2
- If you want to add the files to your library, you need a Tag Support Plug-in for Windows Media Player. This Plug-in will allow MP4 files to be added to the library of Media Player.
- If the problem still exists you may need to download media play pack.
QuickTime Player Troubleshooting:
- The home page for QuickTime Player is: www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
- The QuickTime player is a MP4 & MOV player. If you download this player, you should have no problems viewing the online broadcast.
Real Player troubleshooting tips:
- The home page for Real Player is:www.real.com/realplayer/search
- Open Real Player and go to your player preference.
- Under category, select playback settings.
- Under On-demand (not live) Internet clips, make sure the check box: Cache on-demand streams for faster seeking and smoother playback is unchecked.
- Below that check box, go to the last option called More Options and make sure the check box is checked. (Instantly play Web-page media links instead of downloading them is the text next to the check box.)
- Then select ok.
